Nursing is a healthcare profession that focuses on the care of people and their families to assist them get over illness and maintain optimal health and quality of life.

Nurses are distinct from other healthcare providers as they need a good scope of practice and approach to medical care. They play an integral role in promoting health, preventing illness, and caring for all individuals, including those that are disabled or are physically or unsound.

Role

They are liable for the continued care of sick individuals and wish to assess their health status and help them throughout the method to recovery. The role of a nurse may include to:

• Engage in healthcare teaching
• Participate within the provision of healthcare alongside other team members
• Supervise training and education of nurses

Nurses advocate for the simplest interests of the patients in the least times and focus in holistic health, which encompasses the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. They’re also involved within the treatment decision-making process to represent the patient’s situation and make recommendations, if required.
