Biography
Dr. Michael W. Popejoy, a Fellow at the Royal Society for Public Health, received his Ph.D. in public administration from Florida Atlantic University, an M.B.A. from Barry University, the M.P.H. from Florida International University, and the M.S. in Health Administration from Strayer University. He has served as professor and Applied Business Institute research professor and consultant, department chair, institute director and president of the faculty senate at the Rinker School at Palm Beach Atlantic University; and currently serves as adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University (public safety), Florida International University (public health), and Central Michigan University (clinical research administration). He is Assistant Editor and Book Review Editor for White House Studies, Discussion Papers Editor for The Innovation Journal; and Book Review Editor for the Journal of Public Affairs Education; and is a frequent contributor to Public Health (UK) and Perspectives in Public Health (UK). He also serves on editorial boards for many academic journals in public administration, public health, qualitative research, and the humanities. His first co-edited book Global Public Health Policy is forthcoming this year from Nova Science Publishers, and his second co-edited book as yet untitled is on the topic of public health and public administration partnership initiatives which constitutes on of his major areas of scholarly interest today.
