Dr. Dinesh P Mital received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India in 1968. Thereafter, he received his M.S. and PhD degrees from The State University of New York (SUNY), Stony Brook in 1970 and 1974, respectively. From 1980-1983, worked as a professor in the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, University of Roorkee, Roorkee, India. From 1983 to 1999, he worked as an associate professor, in the School of EEE, NTU, Singapore. Currently working as Professor in Health Informatics in Heath Informatics, Rutgers, the State University, New Jersey. His current areas of research include, biomedical signal processing, medical image processing, clinical decision support systems, outcome analysis, AI, and neural network based biomedical applications. He has published over 280 technical papers in various international conferences and journals.
